Summary/Background[]
Tiffany Freeman (undisclosed maiden name) is Baby Billy Freeman's much younger wife. Tiffany and Baby Billy got together before the events of Season 1, eventually getting married. There is a large age gap between Tiffany and Baby Billy, as Tiffany is younger than Judy and Jesse Gemstone, and Baby Billy was a child star from the 1960s who was well into his late 30s or early 40s during the late 1980s when he tried to resurrect his musical career. Tiffany is described by Judy as "feral", and displays very little etiquette or social skills. Tiffany is Baby Billy's fifth wife, coming into his life after Baby Billy abandoned his first wife and son Harmon, as well as him having three marriages that ended prior to that. Tiffany was Baby Billy's partner-in-crime during Season 1, and becomes pregnant with Baby Billy's child, a boy they named Lionel. She is played by actress Valyn Hall.
Season 1[]
As of season 1, Tiffany is with Baby Billy and happily goes along with most of his schemes. She shocks the Gemstones when Baby Billy introduces her to them, insisting that they call her "Aunt Tiffany", despite her being younger than Judy and Jesse, it is unconfirmed if she's older or younger than Kelvin. Tiffany was raised in very different conditions than the Gemstones, and displays a shocking lack of social skills around them. Her teeth were noticeably crooked when first introduced, something Baby Billy paid to have corrected later in the season. She tells the family how she was born in a toilet, much to their dismay.
Tiffany helps Baby Billy in his pastoral duties at the Gemstone location in Locust Grove, Georgia. She has a largely positive attitude, and compliments Judy on her singing and dancing ability. When Baby Billy decides to leave the Gemstone Locust Grove location, Tiffany assists him and packing his stuff up. However, they witness the burglars breaking in and Eli subduing them, not knowing Eli planned on reconciling with Baby Billy. Baby Billy decides to continue being pastor of the location, even recruiting Judy to be his lead cantor for Easter Sunday service. Baby Billy's tenure as pastor is disastrous, as he decides to leave and admits his lies to Judy, stating he didn't actually think Judy was talented, wasn't like her mother Aimee-Leigh Gemstone, and only used Judy to get back at Eli for "stealing" Aimee-Leigh from him.
Later after Baby Billy airs his grievances to Eli, they are driving in a remote area outside Charleston. Tiffany begins fellating Baby Billy while Baby Billy is driving, leading him to not notice their car about to get t-boned by Gideon's former associate, Scotty. Scotty hits their vehicle and has a horrific crash in his already banged up red utility van, killing him and Lucy. Baby Billy and Tiffany investigate the scene, where they discover millions of dollars in stolen donations that Scotty took from the Gemstone vault. Thinking Scotty to have died in the crash, both are frightened when he wakes up screaming. This causes Tiffany, who had a loaded firearm in her hand, to open fire in shock, which hits Scotty in the head, mortally wounding him. Realizing they hit the jackpot, Baby Billy and Tiffany go back to the Freeman family's ancestral home in the South Carolina Upstate, Freeman's Gap. Upon visiting the crash scene a second time, Jesse discovers Baby Billy's former dashboard Jesus figure. He connects the dots and realizes Baby Billy and Tiffany likely have the stolen cash.
Jesse, Judy, Kelvin, and Eli then trek up to Freeman's Gap to confront Baby Billy. When they arrive, Tiffany lies to them and tries to stall, stating Baby Billy had died. However, the ruse is blown when Baby Billy is seen sprinting across a field outside the house. A thunderstorm erupts while the siblings are chasing Baby Billy, who is then struck by lightning. Baby Billy survives, and agrees to give back the money to the Gemstones. He then uses his experience to begin a ministry based on tent revival meetings, and sells artwork and books based on his near-death experience.
Season 2[]
As of the beginning of season 2, Tiffany is in the latter stages of her pregnancy with baby Lionel. Baby Billy and Tiffany attend BJ's baptism and reception, with Baby Billy performing a musical number for BJ. They stay with BJ and Judy, which results in a rift between Judy and BJ's family, whom had to stay in a hotel because Judy didn't want her in-laws staying in the same house as the "feral" Tiffany.
Tiffany and Baby Billy stay with the Gemstones for an extended period of time, wherein Baby Billy tries to again abandon his family, the same he did to Harmon and Baby Billy's first wife. Tiffany was confused at first, thinking Baby Billy had only left to get "Funyuns", not believing he would abandon his wife and unborn child. This left Tiffany essentially homeless, who continued staying with BJ and Judy trying to figure out what happened with Baby Billy.
In Interlude II, it is revealed how Baby Billy abandoned his first family. He had taken them to a pet store, and let his son Harmon pick out a dog or cat. As he leaned more towards a cat, Baby Billy realized Harmon had issues and he had neither means nor will to support Harmon and his mother.
BJ later helps teach Tiffany how to read and write, and also showed her how to track down Baby Billy via bank and credit card statements. It was shown that Baby Billy took out credit card accounts in the yet-to-be-born Lionel's name, to pay for his supposed "business", which consisted of selling snake oil/quack healing products, even stating they could cure COVID infections. BJ helped Tiffany track Billy down to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he was recording an advertisement for his products. BJ, Judy, and Tiffany went to Winston to meet up with Baby Billy, who first denied his identity, before being outed by the very trailer he was hiding behind. Tiffany asks where he had been, and Baby Billy comes up with a contrived story that his traveling salesman position was worked by Baby Billy to support Tiffany and baby Lionel. Judy and Tiffany call his bluff, which angers Baby Billy. Baby Billy proceeds to attack BJ, and then try and convince Tiffany one last time to join him. Tiffany hesitates and later refuses, at Judy's suggestion. Baby Billy then takes off, driving dangerously out of the studio parking lot and tipping over his trailer, spilling his product everywhere.
BJ and Judy decide to essentially take in and adopt Tiffany, and assist her through the rest of her pregnancy, while trying to find a permanent home for her. Baby Billy would be wracked with guilt over his abandoning two different "families", and sought closure by tracking down his first son, Harmon. Harmon would agree to meet Baby Billy, which was an awkward reunion to say the least. Harmon explained what happened to him after Baby Billy left, even stating the cat he adopted that day lived a long life alongside him. When Baby Billy asks Harmon if he wants or needs anything for closure's sake, Harmon asks to punch Baby Billy in the face. Harmon does so, and clocks Baby Billy across the mouth, which stuns him and knocks him down. Baby Billy departs with an uncertain truce with his son, who experienced a catharsis of sorts when he punched Baby Billy.
Tiffany attends the party/soft opening for Zion's Landing in Florida. Baby Billy shows up, and has a terse conversation with both Tiffany and Judy. Tiffany eventually goes to a porta potty, and goes into labor inside the porta potty. Tiffany's shrieks can be heard across the resort, and attracts a lot of attention from onlooking guests. She eventually gives birth to the baby Lionel, who falls into the toilet of the porta potty, the same way Tiffany did when she was born. Baby Billy redeems himself by rescuing Lionel from the toilet filth, and then loudly proclaiming Lionel as his son. This seemingly leads to the two reuniting, as both are seen in the final church scene, the three sitting together as a family at the Gemstone service.
